Statement of Faith

Enduring faith is built on knowing and understanding truth about God. We call that truth and its teaching doctrine. Doctrine is an essential part of our faith. What we believe matters, and a faithful church must believe and teach sound doctrine (Titus 2:1; 1 Timothy 6:3; 2 Timothy 1:13, 4:3).

The PSBC Statement of faith, built upon the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, lays out our doctrine. This statement allows us to delineate and promote unity in the essentials of our faith, while allowing liberties in non-essentials. Members must not be divisive over issues laid out therein. Anyone who teaches at PSBC must do so in accordance with this statement.
